Dr. Luke

Seltzer

Clinical Psychologist

It is not uncommon to experience times in our lives when we are troubled by personal challenges, such as relationship conflicts, feelings of depression and anxiety, or even feeling trapped and discouraged with situations that we can’t seem to change. Sometimes these difficulties can affect our professional lives or the relationships we hold most dear. Seeking help from a therapist is often the first step in making a productive and healthy change.

My goal as your therapist is to help you work through patterns that prevent you from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.   If you find yourself stuck and repeating familiar relational or emotional patterns, together we can work through them to help you grow and thrive. I work with adult individuals, including adolescents, and couples, who want to explore and experience new ways of being and relating to others.

In therapy, we can explore the relationships that molded you into the person you are. We can take the opportunity to refocus your energy. We can work toward an understanding of why you behave the way you do in different situations. From this understanding can come movement forward – a journey to a new place where you gain wisdom and understanding about the choices you have already made—and the new choices that you can make going forward. Within the confines of a safe and nurturing environment, I can help you explore why you think, feel and behave the way you do. Perhaps we will use assessments to gain greater insight into the struggles you face and develop a plan that will move you into a place where these struggles are no longer present.

I am sensitive to your unique needs, and my commitment to you is this: I want to understand you and help you with your problems. I will not suggest simplistic, ineffective solutions to complex, debilitating problems. I will not shame, judge, or condemn. Rather, I will seek to encourage and strengthen; to believe in hope for all that is good. If you, or someone you know is in need of this type of professional care, call me today.
